Dexmedetomidine hydrochloride is a central nervous system depressant that exerts its effects by acting on α2-adrenergic receptors. Dexmedetomidine hydrochloride is indicated for sedation in surgical patients undergoing general anesthesia with endotracheal intubation and mechanical ventilation. Patients should use this medication under the guidance of a professional physician, and vital signs such as blood pressure and heart rate should be monitored regularly.

 

1. Adult dosage: Prepare a solution to a concentration of 4 μg/ml and administer slowly intravenously at a dose of 1 μg/kg over an infusion period exceeding 10 minutes.

 

2. Before administration, this product must be diluted with 0.9% sodium chloride solution to a concentration of 4 μg/ml. Take 2 ml of this product and add it to 48 ml of 0.9% sodium chloride injection to form a total solution of 50 ml. Gently shake to mix thoroughly. Strict aseptic technique must be maintained throughout the procedure.
